If you already have a SkyDrive account it’s pretty simple to get and setup.

1. Login to http://skydrive.live.com/

2. In the left navigation bar you will see a blue link “Get SkyDrive apps”

3. Install the application. When it’s done you will see the cloud app in your windows explorer window. This Icon will act a lot like Dropbox allowing you to sync all your files to the cloud.

4. You will also want to set the “Fetch files” setting. To do this navigate to the SkyDrive icon in the start tray, right click on the icon and select Settings.

5. Check “Make files on this PC available to me on my other devices”. This setting allows you to unleash the magic of the app. After this is done you will be able to login to http://skydrive.live.com/ and access your entire machine from the web, amazing!

Happy Cuatro De Mayo :-)

Happy Cuatro De Mayo :-)

This is pretty cool a wind map of the US. http://hint.fm/wind/

This is pretty cool a wind map of the US. http://hint.fm/wind/

How good is my Thursday night, I’m reading Brocade’s Unified IP MIB Reference document...

How good is my Thursday night, I’m reading Brocade’s Unified IP MIB Reference document so I can extract some network monitoring metrics.

Amazon has a very aggressive pricing model for hosted email. Live Mesh will keep all your PC’s updated with the same files, I love this and use it all the time.

The second is the generic SykDrive with 24GB that is used by you phone. this is the one everybody is used to seeing. My questions are, why have two different storage areas and why can’t I see my SkyDrive Synced storage files from my phone? ”There can be only one” as they would say in Highlander. Now why do I care now… Well I just installed the latest Beta of Windows 8 and Live Mesh service didn’t move over with the install. But there is a Metro app called SkyDrive and I was hoping I could see my data from that… but no! Grrr, Windows 8 please help get this figured out. Either build-in Live Mesh or allow me to see both SkyDrives.

That’s why I was unable to get the vanity plate “GOD” it was taken by...

That’s why I was unable to get the vanity plate “GOD” it was taken by dotcom… ;-)
